When We came to visit El Valle, Bahia Solano, Colombia, with the idea of getting out of the rat race in the States, We were astonished with the beauty of the area, the people, their customs, nature and the richness of the Pacific ocean. We just fell in love with El Valle, but We didn't think much in terms of perhaps living there, just enjoy the place and maybe meet some cool people along the way. Well, we did that and some...Let's start by telling a little about Us:
Our names are Monica Buitrago and Jupiracu Dasilva. Monica is a Colombian/American an Agronomist with a specialty on Environmental Technology and a teacher, Jupi is a Brazilian/American an Artist, Designer and a Chef, We both speak fluent Spanish, English and Portuguese.
We are a small family hotel, restaurant, bar, musicians, artist and nature lovers spot in Bahia Solano-El Valle, Colombia, with all the best intentions to create a place where local people and global tourist can enjoy delicious organic food while interacting with the community and falling in love with the magnificent nature of it's surroundings. The Hill is located at Almejal Beach in the heart of the Choco-Darien Eco-region, included on the world's priority places list by WWF for having one of the most exceptional ecosystems and habitats in the planet. A place that is particularly rich in biodiversity, a place with unique , irreplaceable and threatened animals and plants. A place like no other on earth.
